1) An Introduction
Tupac Amaru Shakur is born on the 16th of October 1971 in New York, United States Of America.

He comes from East Harlem, in Manhattan. His family is made up of former Black Panther members.

His mother, Afeni, was acquitted of 150 charges as she was, at the time, a member of the Black Panther part of the Panther 21 group, planning terrorist attacks.

His original name (Lesane Parish Crooks) was changed to Tupac Amaru Shakur at 1 years old, in reference to Tupac Amaru II, an Incan revolutionary in Peru against Spanish rule.

His family was impoverished, and as a result ; he would very often move homes, as his mother raised them partly alone. At 12 years old, he started taking theater classes.

... made his first recording debut in "Same Song", which was published in 1991. He also contributed to the "Sons of the P" Digital Underground's album.

In 1991, he also published his first solo album : "2Pacalypse Now" where he talked a lot about racism, police brutality, and other social issues he (and a lot of African Americans) went through during his life (their lives).
7) His Problems with the Police
The same year (1991) he got into troubles with the police and justice as he accused two policemen of having beat him up over jaywalking, marking the beginning of a series of arrests and other judicial troubles for him. Next year, in 1992, Tupac was arrested and released as, after an altercation with jealous youth in Marin City, a 6 year old died on the spot due to an accidental gunshot to the head.
7) His Problems with the Police
Two years later (1994), he was found guilty of sexual abuse on one of his fans, which he denied. He was sentenced to between 1 and a half years in prison and 4 and a half years in prison. He was hurt that "a woman would accuse me of taking something from her.", he said.
8) Jail Time
While in jail, his solo album "Me Against The World" got to the top of the Charts, the first time such a thing happened (an album being at top of the charts while its author was in jail). At this time he also said during an interview in prison : "They don't care if we stop the violence. They don't care about the gang violence".
9) Death
On September 7, 1996, Tupac and a friend assaulted a rival gang member at a boxing match at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas. Later, Tupac was shot multiple times by the same person he assaulted hours earlier in a drive-by shooting. He died 6 days later of a cardiac arrest.
10) Conspiracies about his Death
Obviously, his death was subject to a lot of conspiracies theories, because there is a lot that is unclear about the set of events that took place, such as who shot him, who was behind all of this... Not to mention alleged sightings in the US/Cuba.
