PAST SIMPLE vs PAST CONTINUOUS

I took / she went / they were

I didn't go / she didn't take / they didn't eat

Did you go to London? What did they eat?

Pour former le Past Continuous,on utilise l'auxiliaire TO BE au past simple et le verbe auquel on ajoute -ING à la fin. I was playing / she was eating / they were asking

Pour construire une phrase négative, j'utilise wasn't/weren't + le verbe + ING she wasn't sleeping / they weren't eating

Pour construire une phrase interrogative, j'utilise was/were + le sujet + le verbe + ING. Were you having a good time? What was he doing?

I was having a bath when you phoned.

Attention, "when" signigie "quand" et"while" signifie "pendant que". I was having a bath when you phoned.

My brother was doing his homework while I was watching TV.

Thanks for watching !
