What are Buddy Chats?

  • As an asynchronous small-group activity, students will work together to create a post for Instagram where they will tag @ingles.mineduc.
  • On Monday, you will give your students their groups.
  • During both morning and afternoon sessions you will remind them about their Buddy Chats, which are to answer the Question of the Day.

Setting up Buddy Chats

  • Break them up into groups of 3.
    • There can be a group of 4 if needed.
  • Create a list to share in your first morning session.
  • Share the list in the WhatsApp group after the first AM session.
  • Remind students to do their Buddy Work each day after their PM session
  • Recommended: have a mixed level of students in a Buddy Group.
