Introduction

The book meet me in istanbul was writen by Richard Chisholm. It´s genre is mystery/suspense and it´s about a Man named Tom who goes on a trip to see his girlfriend but receives some awful news!

Journey to Istanbul

The first chapter of this book is when Tom, the main character, goes on a trip to Istanbul to see his girlfriend that works there. On the plane he meets this man called Kemal and they start talking, next thing he knows they have already arived! Kemal gave Tom his number so if he needed anything to give him a call.

Chapter 1

The american bar

In the second chapter, Tom takes a bus to his hotel, to his surprise he saw angela go into a building right as he got on the bus. unfortunately Tom wasn´t able to catch her in time so he went to the café where they were going to meet.

After countless hours of waiting, Tom realized angela was not coming, what he didn´t notice was that a man had been following him since he arrived in Istanbul!

A Shock

Note:

After Tom decided to leave the café, he went to angela´s apartment trying to look for her. It was very suspicious how all of the sudden angela is missing, since Tom saw her this morning...

all this time, the same man that was following him in the café was following him now, I definitely think he has something to do with angelas death

After nocking on her door countless times, Tom finally gave up and went looking for a place to stay, he found a cheap hotel and got a room.

The next morning, he got up and went to angela´s work to find out what happened, this is when tom received the devastating news that his wife had passed...

Chapter 3

Chapter 4

After receiving these news, angelas boss (mr. dunya) notified Tom of how it happened and when, the only problem was that Tom had seen her the day before but Dunya told him she had passed two weeks ago... For better information, tom decided he must go to the consulate but first he called his friend kemal (from the airplane).

note

I am very suspicious of angelas boss, Dunya, he seems to be hiding something. I now think maybe angela is not dead and her boss has something to do with it.

A disapointing day

OFFICE

After telling kemal about everything that had just happened, Tom asked if they could go to the building where he saw angela go in, kemal agreed although they had no clue where that was. They finally found it but it was an office building and they did not know which office she went to, so they decided to wait.

I know Dunya has something to do with angelas disapearing and he is probably the person who hired the man in the grey raincoat. I am starting to think Kemal also has something to do with this but im not sure what.

A surprise phone call

Visit to the consulate

Kemal took Tom to the Topkapi Palace so they could have a break from everything. In the car ride there, they passed the Galata Bridge, The golden Horn and Santa Sophia When they arrived at the Topkapi Palace they noticed a man was following them, so they went into a croud of people to hide, after they lost him they split up and went home, later that evening Tom would call kemal

Later that night, Tom received a phone call, it was angelas friend! She asked to meet so they could talk about what has been happening. They met at the american bar and she told him everything she knew about angela and they started discussing who might have done something to her... Finally got to the conclusion that her boss had been acting very suspicious ad angela used to say things about him

Tom went to visit the cosulate and they gave him the files of that night although they werent much help. he still believes angela is out there and so do I.

Goodbye, Mr Dünya

In Chapter nine, after talking to Julie, Tom tells Kemal everything they spoke about. They started thinking about what was happening when they remembered the guy that was following them in the Topkapi palace. So they came up with a plan, Tom would pretend to leave Istanbul so this man would stop following them and they could get on with finding out what happened to Angela.

Tom went to the airport and did everything to look like he was leaving but as the plane was boarding he went to the bathroom and waited until he thought the mas had left. The plan worked, the man had left and told his boss (mr. Dünya) he got on the plane

Chapter 9

An important discovery

A clever trick

Now Mr, Dünya thinks Tom has left Istanbull so this is their opportunity to find out what he is hiding. They followed him to a large villa, where he lives and thought about how they could get in. Kemal remembered how Dünya exports onyx ornaments to england, so they would go there to "sell ornaments" and look inside his home to try and find something suspicious.

The next day Kemal went to the villa and convinced Dünya to buy his ornaments. He invited him in to put them down in his office, while Dünya was on the phone, Kemal started looking around the room and saw many other onyx ornaments, thats when he looked throught the window and saw a very short wall, easy to break in. He got back to the car and when he arrived at home he told Tom about everything.

Notes:

I think the onyx ornaments have something to do with what Mr. Dünya is hiding and I think angela is being held "prisoner" for finding out.
