Exploring the world

Elizabeth I's 44-year reign was peaceful. For this reason, there was a flourishing of culture & learning, known as "The Elizabethan Golden Age". Four figures in particular are remembered from this period : the explorer Sir Francis Drake, the sailor Walter Raleigh, the scientist Francis Bacon and the playwright William Shakespeare. Let's explore this period of discovery ! Here is a list and a variety of documents for you to go through. When you have finsihed, click on the ship for your activity!
