Contexto Europea Edad Moderna
El pescado, dependiendo de la zona, no llamaba mucho la atención, aunque sí aparecía en los menús con mayor poder adquisitivo. En las verduras triunfaba la venta de berenjenas y zanahorias. Finalmente, afirmamos que la sociedad del momento era muy “dulzona” por lo que predominaban las mermeladas, confituras, jaleas, membrillos, pastas, bizcochos, hojaldres y rosquillas.

Las patatas fueron otras de las cosas que que se exportaron hacia europa y eran tan importantes que en Alemania se obliga a los campesinos a cultivar las patatas en todas sus huertas
Algunas de las cosas que llegaron a Europa que provenían de América era el cacao que al refinarlo se podía convertir en chocolate.
