We use comparative adjectives to show change or make comparisons:
We use comparative adjectives to compare two people, animals or things.
We use superlative adjectives to compare more than two people, animals or thing

the + adjective + -est (TWO or MORE SYLLABLES) the most + adjective
Example:I'm feeling happier now.
Adjective + -er + than (TWO or MORE SYLLABLES) More + adjective + than
We use than when we want to compare one thing with another:
Adjectives that end in a vowel + consonants -t, -d, -g, -m, -n : double the consonant and add -er/-est
Adjectives of one syllable that end in -e: add -r / -st
Example:She is two years older than me.
Long words(2 / 3 / 4 syllables): add more / the most .
When we want to describe how something or someone changes
Adjectives of two syllables that end in -y: change the -y to an -i and add -er / -est
Example:The balloon got bigger and bigger.
