THE EXCRETORY SYSTEM

The excretory system removes some waste from our body and keeps our blood clean.

The kidneys filter the blood and reabsorb useful nutrients.

In the kidneys, waste substances and water form urine. The urine goes down the tubes called ureters. The urine is collected in the bladders and when it is full it sends a message to our brain. The urine leaves the body through the urethra.
