INTRODUCTION

The "BCOE Research Action Plan-Fall 2020-Fall 2023" proposes an strategic plan to be implemented in the next three years (2020-2023), with the aim of achieving the research-related goals described in both KSU'S R2 Roadmap to Success , and the BCOE R2 Roadmap.

Summary: BCOE Research Action Plan Proposal (Fall 2020-Fall 2023)

Action 0: Analysis of faculty practices to disseminate their scholarship Action 1: Development and implementation of a series of workshops on " how to gather & show the impact of our research." Action 2: Creation of BCOE Research Catalyst's site Action 3: Internal promotion of the IRML Action 4: Development of list of journals and conferences Action 5: Initiate a discussion with the RC and targeted individuals in the BCOE, about the possibility of creating a BCOE's open Journal. Action 6: Creation of a Digital Commons author gallery of experts for BCOE faculty. (see example ). Creation of a gallery for each department. and for the college at the same time. To do so, we would need faculty to first generate their digital commons profiles (action 1). Action 7: Increase the communication flow between the Office of Research and BCOE Faculty. Action 8: Facilitation of the collaboration between undergraduate/graduate students and faculty in producing research publications and conference presentations. Action 9: Promotion of the co-development of lesson plans integrating the use of the IRML in research-related undergraduate and graduate courses. Action 10: Creation of a yearly research showcase for undergraduate and graduate students. Action 11: Promotion of bi-monthly sessions devoted to interdisciplinary research. These sessions will aim at connecting BCOE faculty with colleagues/researchers from different colleges, and institutions both local and international. Action 12: Creation of a task force to study the possibilities of developing a Ph.D. program Action 13: Study the possibilities of creating a self-sustainable BCOE Research Center (RCC + BCOE Labs)
