What is a sentence?

A sentence is a group of words that tells a complete idea.

End your sentence with a period.Example: They go to India every year.

Every sentence must have a subject and a verb.Example: We learn English at school. (Subject: We; Verb: learn)

Begin your sentence with a capital letter.Example: My teacher plays tennis.

Basic structures of an affirmative sentence in English:
