2018-2019 TRAINING & Certification PLAN
To ensure SCS Observers are equipped with the knowledge necessary to facilitate successful teacher evaluations for the 2018-19 academic school year
Who is our target audience?
DISTRICT EVALUATORS
• New Observers• Instructional Leadership Directors• Central Office Observers This session is REQUIRED for New Observers. New Observers are defined as administrators (Central Office and School Level Administrators) conducting teacher evaluations for the first time for the 2018-19 school year. The session is also available for Returning Observers who opt out of the online certification session. ILDs and Central Office observers who did not complete a minimum of one (1) teacher observation in the 17-18 school year

cOLLECTING HIGH QUALITY EVIDENCE
I. Collecting High Quality Evidence A. Unpacking the Rubric - Distinguish teacher and student behaviors within the rubric (use questions) - Review common oversights in rubric (Indicator Data Trends) B. HQ Evidence Collection Practice - Watch lesson (2 videos max) - Script lesson (determines scripting capacity) *Provide database/paper to script (100% participation) C.
