With COMMANDS we use the reporting verb:TOLD for instance: tell someone to do something
"Don't write on the chat in Spanish"The teacher told me NOT to write on the chat in Spanish. "Don't submit your tasks late" The teacher told us NOT to submit our tasks late.
With NEGATIVE COMMANDS we ALSO use the reporting verb: TOLD BUT we need NOT before the infinitive tell someone NOT TO do something
With REQUESTS (LIGHT COMMANDS) WE USE THE VERB ASK"Please copy everything on a paper" (+) The teacher ASKED us TO COPY everything on a paper. Same structure: ask someone TO DO something "Please don't submit empty tasks" (-) The teacher ASKED me NOT TO SUBMIT empty tasks.
