Primary Sector
The economy in our country is mainly based on the primary sector because of the agricultural and mining activities.
The main activities are
AGRICULTURE:We grow coffee, banana, and flowers. LIVESTOCK: In Colombia, this activity focuses on the breeding of the following species: Cattle, pig cattle, chicken farming FISHING: This activity is very common in the Caribbean, Pacific, and Insular regions MINING: Colombia exports coal, petroleum, gold, and emeralds.

Secondary Sector
The secondary sector has contributed to the growth of the national economy.
The main activities are
FOOD INDUSTRY:Meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, bakery products, and oils. TEXTILE INDUSTRY: It works in Medellín, Bogotá, Cali, Pereira, Barranquilla, and Bucaramanga. It generates about 800.000 jobs. CRAFTS: Made by a variety of indigenous groups throughout the country. They are souvenirs that foreign people buy.

Tertiary Sector
This sector is formed by all the activities that offer a service to the society.
The main activities are
FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES: It is formed by banks and corporations. The Banco de la República is one the one that controls the issuance of money. TELECOMMUNICATION: Radio, TV, Celular service internet. EDUCATION: Schools and universities. HEALTH: Hospitals and medical centers. TRANSPORTATION: Taxis, buses, planes. TRADE: Market, supermarket, malls, stores. TOURISM: Hotels and travel agencies.
