MEIPTA Remarks
Dear Readers,
Although e-learning inititatives at public universities has been an on-going effort since the 1990's, it has been a challenge for all of us during COVID-19 where the demand for e-learning become very intense. Despite the challenges, MEIPTA took this opportunity to preach on the good and best practice for designing and implementing online learning. We campaign about e-learning all year long and this has not stop until 2021. We produced this bulletin as an appreciation to all MEIPTA members to showcase their efforts at their respective universities to thrive e-learning. We hope it will also motivate all the other institutions to continue e-learning implementation now and continuously in the future.
Dr Nurbiha A. Shukor Chairman Malaysian e-Learning Council for Public Universities (MEIPTA)

PROF. Ts. DR. MUHAMMAD SUZURI HITAM Chief Information Officer Centre for Digital Ecosystem Universiti Malaysia Terengganu
DR. NOR OMAIMA HARUN Head of e-Learning Centre for Digital Ecosystem Universiti Malaysia Terengganu
There are numerous software’s, learning and digital platforms available for educators to choose from in designing and conducting their lessons. Educators can make their teaching more interesting and effective by simply making use of available technological tools (such as Powtoon, Canva, and Edmodo to name few) in their traditional classroom or combining conventional teaching with online ones. For example, they can create flipped classrooms via Moodle, a learning platform. They can also shift from holding a traditional classroom instruction to having a complete online class via video conferencing software platforms such as Google Meet, Webex, and Zoom.
The advancement in technology has helped educators to diversify their methods of delivering information / has enabled educators to choose various effective means or ways of delivering information /reaching their students. They can make use of a variety of available resources which may look simple but feature-rich and user friendly.
