Little summary

Mark pretended to be suicide and his loved woman’s husband. He tried to jump over the bridge when cop saw him, he visited psychiatrist to talk about his dreams and how desperate he was, he even drank sleeping pills but doctor managed to pump stomach and saved him. So at the end Mark killed Edward making everybody think that he suicide

The first novel to be published under the name Block was Grifter's Game (1961). In 2005, he was honored with the Gumshoe Lifetime Achievement Award

The story is about a man, Edward, who gave signs of suicide, Police adviced him to go to a psychiatrist. He took 20 sleeping pills, then went to the phychiatrist and he said that the pills could kill him. He had a sugery. And after that he bought a gun.

Summary

Edward was in his house, when sudenly someone knocked the door, It was Mark the lover of Edward’s death wife. He forced Edward to wrote a note and said that he had killed his wife and committed suicide. Edward told him that no one would belive that, but Mark put on a mask that looks like him and reveled that he had gave signs of suicide. Mark killed Edward and erased fingerprints from the gun and put edward’s fingerprints

In my opinion

This is a great book. It has that surprise factor that you werent expecting

And I loved how he maneged to create such a huge story in only 4 pages.
