Ironically, we talk about personal branding, but we focus on professional development, leaving the personal aspect behind. So what about personal development? Let's talk about self-knowledge. A useful first exercise is to do an analysis of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats to ourselves. We may share the same virtues and weaknesses with many people, but we do not experience them in the same way. Being able to recognize our weaknesses, instead of hiding them, helps us to determine our limits and this will strengthen our self-confidence and self-esteem. It is nothing more than accepting our shortcomings. Let's now do the same SWOT analysis but focusing on our professional profile.

What are our skills? Do we have a wealth of knowledge that requires additional training? Why have people like Steve Jobs come to stand out and become referents? After these two SWOT analyses, we may need a strategy on how to highlight our skills in relation to our shortcomings, without denying them. As with your Facebook Profile, it is important to give your Page a professional appearance in order to give an engaging value to your services that will result in a "like" of your Page.

  • Professional photo or corresponding to your product
  • Professional Banner
  • Title of the page corresponding to your activities (ex: hypnosis, coaching, sophrology, etc) as well as your city of practice, department number and why not your name. > if your page is the Facebook page of your practice for example > otherwise if the page corresponds to your digital program it will be recommended to put the name of the program (for clarity when you advertise on Facebook)

You will now be able to add "friends" and "friends of friends" who will be able to have a visibility of your practices but also you will be able to add prospects corresponding directly to your target. See tips for automated additions in chapter 07.

You can create a public, private or secret group.

Alcapod and Podawaa are pods for LinkedIn. A pod is also called an engagement group. The principle is simple, you join a group on which all members share the link of their posts and they commit to like or comment on your post. This will boost the reach (visibility) of your post. The first 10 minutes of a post's life are the most important. On LinkedIn, the audience mechanics are simple and known: 1. A post is published. 2. Launch: the algorithm shows it to a panel of the account's contacts. 3. Initiation: if the reaction is good (over 1 to 2 hours), the algorithm increases it shows it to a greater number of contacts. 4. Validation: if the reaction is still good, a human intervenes to check if the post is eligible for more visibility (we don't know on which criteria) 5. Boost: If eligible, the post is shown to a very large number of accounts even at the +2 and +3 level of the contact network.

To multiply your sales you can use what is called affiliation. You will be able to find salespersons/ambassadors for your programs. A merchant pays a third party for each customer/internet user he brings to the shop. The affiliate (the third party in question) receives a sum of money when he brings business to the affiliator (the merchant). This can be your old customers, your new customers who like your products and who want to talk about it and make a contribution (which will boost their motivation). Each affiliate has an affiliate link of his own. Once shared and if a sale is made through this link, the traceability is done automatically.
