Consumers buy all sorts of goods. People are consuming when they buy small goods like clothes, toys, and food. They also are consuming when they buy large goods such as boats and houses.

Consumers spend money on many types of services. People are consuming when they pay to have their cars washed at a gas station. People are also consuming when they spendmoney to have someone fix their bicycles.
