We will present the countries taking part in the project. Therefore we will make trasnational groups working on the different countries. How does it work?
1) Write your name in the table on the page "Our countries" , choose a country ( not your country) and a topic ( history, etc)
2) your students look for information about the topic
3) We created a Thinglink account for the project.Username: monica.frigerio705@gmail.com Pw: etwinning
4-When your work is ready, log into Thinglink and upload it to the right country.
November/December
Our students will write their wishing cards in English and a wishing letter in English for the project partners.
- 1) Each student writes a simple wishing card in his/her own language. We help the students translate the cards into English. Students can also add a drawing to their cards. We make a video or slideshow, showing the wishing cards.
- We upload the video to Youtube or Vimeo first ( choose " unlisted video"). Then we copy paste the link of the Youtube video to the subpage " Our students' cards", in the Twinboard ( click on Add item).
November/December
2) Students write a wishing letter in English for the project partners, helped by their teacher. The letter will be uploaded as a pdf file to Materials in the TwinSpace, in Files. Then we go to the subpage "Our letters for partners", we click on Add Item. We select our pdf file from Materials and we submit. The letters will be uploaded by December 10th.
3) We print our students' wishing cards and all the letters from our partners: we are ready to decorate our tree of wishes. 4) Finally we take a photo from our tree of wishes and we upload it to the page "Our Tree of Wishes".
January
HOW TO VOTE
- 1) We collected the photos of the beautiful Trees of Wishes in a collaborative Book made with Book Creator. The Book will be uploaded to the page "Best Tree of Wishes Contest". We will use the numbers on the pages of the Book in order to vote our favourite trees.
- You and your students will look at the trees in the Book.
- Do you like the tree on page 1, for instance? Write your name in the table on the page " Best Tree of Wishes Contest ", in the box next to 1.
- We and our students together can vote 3 trees. We can vote from 10th to 31st January. Finally we will have our Best Tree of Wishes!
January
2) We will collect the wishing letters for our partners into a collaborative Book made with Flipsnack, divided into three volumes: the books will be uploaded to an interactive image created with Genially.
3) Our students write their wishes for the friends from other countries in the Forum "Our wishes for New Year".
4) We complete the survey on the page " Survey on the project "
5) Teachers create a common Domino Game using New Year words and pictures, as a nice gift for students.
January
6) Project Evaluation: we fill in three easy and quick forms, one for Teachers, one for students and one for parents.
7) We apply for the Quality Label ( each country has different deadlines)
''Trees and people Trees appeal to all senses ““ Fresh scents, the sound of moving leaves, the sound of birds, They connect us and the past and the future. If you plant a sapling that can take 200 years to reach full length, your faith in the future increases. You offer a gift for generations that have not yet been born. That feels pretty good. "
