Transitive phrasal verbs: their stress pattern changes according to the position and nature of the object.

Let´s review the theory

Stress pattern of phrasal verbs

Examples: 'Switch 'on 'Switch the 'radio on 'Switch on the 'radio 'Switch it 'on

Intransitive phrasal verbs: both the verb and the particle attract prominence (unless immediately preceded and/or followed by another prominent word)

Examples: 'Get 'up I 'cannot get 'up I 'get up 'early

Read the following phrases and mark prominence.
