COUNTABLE NOUNS ARE THINGS THAT WE CAN COUNT. THEY HAVE A SINGULAR FORM AND A PLURAL FORM.

Los nombres contables son todos aquellos que se puede contar. Pueden estar en plural o en singular. For example: a pencil, two pencils, an apple, biscuits....
UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS ARE THINGS WE CAN'T COUNT. THEY ALWAYS USE IS/ISN'T

Los nombres incontables son todos aquellos que no se pueden contar. For example: milk, water, wine, bread, cheese... En general son los líquidos y las masas. Alguno de vosotros estará pensando, pero si se puede contar un vaso de agua, dos vasos... y lleváis parte de razón. La palabra water (sola) no es contable, no podemos decir un agua, dos aguas....pero a veces, un nombre incontable se puede hacer contable como en el caso del vaso de agua ( le añadimos otro nombre que sí se puede contar.)

Podemos usar a/an, números y otras palabras llamadas cuantificadores For example: There is a pencil. Hay un lapicero. There are two pencils Hay dos lapiceros. There are some pencils. Hay varios/algunos lapiceros.
Solo podemos usar el singular, por tanto nunca escribiremos a/ an o números con un nombre incontable. Tenemos unos cuantificadores específicos para incontables. For example: There is some milk. Hay algo de leche.
Vamos a ver algunos cuantificadores. ¿Pero qué son los cuantificadores? Son palabras que expresan cantidad. Vamos a aprender algunas de estas palabras en inglés.

FEW: POCOS/AS PARA INCONTABLES. LITTLE: POC0/A PARA CONTABLES A LOT OF/LOTS OF: MUCHOS/AS MUCHO /A PARA CONTABLES E INCONTABLES
SOME: EN FRASES AFIRMATIVAS. ALGUNOS/ VARIOS (CONTABLES) ALGO DE...(INCONTABLES) ANY: ES LO MISMO QUE SOME PERO EN FRASES NEGATIVAS E INTERROGATIVAS.

How many...? Se usa para los contables. ¿Cuántos/as? * How many potatoes are there? There are lots of potatoes.
How much...? Se usa para los incontables. ¿Cuánto/a? * How much sugar is there? There is a little.
Examples:
