Activities for you and your homebound child

Sometimes, the best activities for our kids are the ones they do WITH us!

Here are some fun activities to consider:

Bake or cook together. This helps with math, following directions, the thrill of creating a piece of art! Make an edible craft for snack time. (Pinterest has some great ideas)

Make sticky wristbands.Wrap wide tape (sticky side out) around your child's wrist, then go on a nature walk. They can stick whatever they find to it and make a fun bracelet.

Put on some fun upbeat music.Let them dress up,and have a dance party!

Unplug from devices for anhour—yours and theirs.Be present for a while in their world.

Create a designated space. While we are doing distant learning, it can be helpful for your child to have their own space and consistent time for school at home. Consistency is the key to success for school at home.

Take a virtual field trip! There are field trips for farms, zoos, museums, and exhibits for all ages online.

If you need some peace and quiet to work:

Age appropriate games and puzzles with siblings
