Haunted house

Dans ce chapitre nous allons nous intéresser aux légendes écossaises et plus particulièrement aux nombreux châteaux hantés que l'on trouve dans le pays. Ce n'est pas un hasard si J.K Rowling a décidé de situer Poudlard en Ecosse! Nous allons travailler :

• Le vocabulaire de la maison (pièces, meubles...)
• revoir There is / there are
• les prépositions de lieu (à côté de, dessus, derrière...)
• Un nouveau temps : le present continuous aussi appelé présent BE + -ing.

Le prochain exercice est plus compliqué! Sur la prochaine page, une pièce de maison va apparaître. Il faut :

• identifier la pièce (It's a bedroom, the hall...)
• présenter tous les meubles et éléments que tu reconnais dans la pièce (minimum 9) en utilisant There is et There are.
• ex : There is a bathtub.

RAPPEL : There is + nom au singulier, There are + nom au pluriel.

ATTENTION! Il faut faire cet exercice SANS s'aider du cahier! (sinon c'est de la triche) Dépose ton texte dans le casier de collecte !

Nous avons un fantôme qui se promène dans notre maison hantée, il va falloir le retrouver! Pour cela nous avons besoin de mieux nous repérer dans la maison. Cette semaine nous allons donc travailler avec les "prepostions of place", c'est à dire : dessus, derrière, à côté de...

Spooky se cache dans l'une des pièces de la maison. Pour le localiser précisément, il va falloir s'entraîner!

Observe bien cette image, et essaie de retenir les mots soulignés. Ce sont eux qui vont t'aider à localiser Spooky ensuite ! Lorsque tu te sens prêt/prête, commence l'entraînement à la page suivante!

Tu as réussi tous les exercices? Attention, pour être imbattable, il faut être capable de faire tous les exercices sans se tromper et sans s'aider du cahier! Tu peux recommencer autant de fois que tu veux, jusqu'à ce que tu réussisses! Si tu es maintenant imbattable sur les "preposition of place", nous allons passer à un exercice plus dur!

Avant de te lancer dans la chasse au fantôme, il te reste une épreuve à passer! Choisis l'une des pièce de la maison et fais en la description sur le padlet! Attention, il faut décrire la pièce comme montré dans le dernier exercice, en utilisant uniquement les meubles et les "prepositions of place". Tes camarades devront deviner quelle pièce tu décris en commentaire (ex : It's room number 4 !)

GRAMMAR POINT BE + -ING 1/3

Nous allons maintenant nous intéresser à quelques phrases de l'audio. - You are playing the piano. - They are crying. Lorsque le propriétaire du château parle, on peut entendre le piano et les pleurs des bébés. L'action est donc en train de se passer au moment où le propriétaire du château parle. C'est la principale fonction du présent BE + -ING! Il sert à parler d'une action qui en train de se passer au moment où on parle.

GRAMMAR POINT BE + -ING 2/3

Le présent BE + -ING se traduit en français par du présent simple. You are playing the piano = tu joues du piano. Mais contrairement au français, l'anglais précise ici que l'action est en train de se passer au moment où je parle. Je vois la personne devant moi en train de jouer du piano. Le présent BE + -ing est donc plus précis que le présent français.

GRAMMAR POINT BE + -ING 3/3

La construction du BE + -ING Le BE + -ING se construit avec le verbe BE conjugué au présent et en ajoutant -ing au verbe. Forme positive: sujet + BE au présent + verbe-ing Ex : They + are + crying. He + is + playing + the piano. Forme interrogative : BE au présent + sujet + verbe-ing. Ex : Are + you + playing + the piano? On peut ajouter un mot en WH au début de la question : What are you doing? Where are you going?

Lincoln lives in a haunted house, he shares his morning routine.

Everyday I wake up at 6:30 because the spanish soldier is playing the piano. I get up at 7:00. I always have my breakfast at 7:30 in the kitchen where the baby ghosts are crying. I often eat toasts with extra marmelade. I sometimes comb my hair and brush my teeth in the bathroom. I never go to bed early, so I'm always very tired in the morning.
