Patron Saint of England

and the Patron Saint of

the Boy Scoutsin America

Saint George was a knight

and he saved the king's daughter killing a terrible dragon

but he offered to kill the dragon only if the people

CONVERTED TO CHRISTIANITY

On Saint George's Day

English people usually wear a red rose

or put an English flag outside their windows

the English flag is white with a red cross

It's called the SAINT GEORGE'S CROSS

and it's part of the Union Jack, the flag of the UK
