Hello dear reader, welcome to our animal magazine! This magazine is like a dossier, you will travel through space and come to our park located in Caserta (CE), Italy. We, the directors Martina Di Conno, Federica Amato and Francesca Lamberti, work to protect endangered species by collaborating with local governments, communities and non-profit organizations; we will guide you on this journey! Our park is concerned with saving, helping and protecting endangered animals. In fact, we are sorry to inform you that we are the cause of the disappearance of these animals, from the rhinos that we kill to take their horn on the fires in Australia that led to the extinction of the koalas. Now we have to do the right thing, take our responsibilities and help the animals and, do you want to know why? Because the whole ecosystem and our own life depends on them! Are you amazed? You will find the answer at the end of our magazine! But first, here is a short trip to our park to meet many of the animals that are disappearing around the world, were you aware of it? Our park is divided into 6 areas, one for each continent: America, Africa, Asia, Antarctica, Europe and Oceania, therefore you will meet 3 endangered animals for each continent and their photos with the main and most important features! Do not forget to read the last pages that will explain to you why it is important to save animals from extinction and what you can do to help us, our social and internet contacts. #WeSaveAnimals., HAVE FUN!

American animals
Jaguar
Sloth
These sleeping animals are the most common of the three toed sloths. Their striking fur helps them disguise themselves in their forest environments to protect themselves. They spend most of their time playing, eating and sleeping on trees. Normally they go ashore only once a week.
The name "Jaguar" derives from the ancient Amazonian languages and means 'beast' and 'the dog.' These felines are exclusively native to the Americas and are one of the main predators of the continents.
This animal species is known worldwide for its lively beak. They feed on all types of fruit, especially figs, they look cute and sweet but jaguars, snakes and weasels are apparently terrified of them.
Title 1
NORTHERN WHITE RHINO
They are the second largest land mammal in the world. Despite their size, they are frequently hunted for their horn which has led to their near extinction. Currently, there are three northern white rhinos in the world.
THE AFRICAN WILD DOG
The African wild dog, is a native of Sub-Saharan Africa. Unlike other dogs, which have five toes one their forefeet, the African wild dog has four toes on its forefeet. This species is threatened by the destruction of their habitat through human activities and human-wildlife conflict and are susceptible to diseases spread by domestic animals.
AFRICA
THE GREVY' S ZEBRA, also known as the imperial zebra, is the most threatened of the three species of zebra. Because of illegal poaching and the destruction of their habitat, they are now only found in Southern Ethiopia and Northern Kenya.

Asian animals
ELEPHANT
Elephants are the largest and heaviest land animals. They are characterized by a long mobile trunk and two extremely integrated incisors: the tusks. The body is large and compact, the neck is short, the head very voluminous. The proboscis is the extension of the nose and upper lip, it provides the water
PANDA
The Siberian tiger is a wonderful animal that has its roots in an ancient and in some ways legendary history. Its slightly lighter coat than the other felids and its really large dimensions make it a really carnivorous mammal among the best known in the world.
The panda is a mammal that is part of the order of carnivores. This species is widespread from eastern Nepal to central / southern China, through Bhutan and Burma, and lives in the forests.

ANIMALS
EUROPEAN
SLENDER- BILLED CURLEW
Once common, this curlew migrates across Europe from breeding grounds in Siberia. Its numbers declined dramatically during the last 100 years, and probably now total fewer than 50 individuals.
MEDITERRANEAN MONK SEAL
With a population of at most 450 animals, this is the most endangered seal in the world. Most of the remaining monk seals live in Greece and Turkey.
The European mink population is less than half what it was a decade ago. Wetland habitat loss and degradation has relegated mink to barely one-fifth of their original range.

THE ZEBRA SHARK
The zebra shark is a species of carpet shark. It is found throughout the tropical Indo-Pacific. The World Conservation Union has assessed this species as Endangered worldwide, as it is taken by commercial fisheries across most of its range (except off Australia) for meat, fins, and liver oil. There is evidence that its numbers are dwindling.
The koala is just like a small bear: it has large and rounded ears, particularly hairy, rather small eyes and a flattened nose. The hair is long and very soft, gray in color with small white tufts on the chest.
OCEANIA
Title 1
THE IMPEROR PENGUIN
ANTARTIC ANIMALS
The emperor penguin is the tallest, largest and heaviest of all penguins. Males and females have a similar plumage and the same size: a height that can reach 125 cm and a weight between 20 and 40 kg. Back and head are black and the belly is white, while the upper part of the chest is light yellow.

HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT US?
WE works on protecting endangered species by partnering with local governments, communities, and nonprofit organisations. Joining one of our projects as a volunteer or intern will allow you to learn more about conservation, and the issues surrounding protecting endangered species. we has a proven history of conducting meaningful research work that makes a difference. As a volunteer on one of our programs, you can too.
Although there are so many endangered species across the globe, there are also incredible efforts underway to save many of them. As an individual, you can make a difference by learning about and raising awareness about endangered species in your area, and across the world. A sustainable way to do that is to get involved as a volunteer, partnering with governments and organisations on existing projects. Not only is this a great way to learn about wildlife conservation, but you will gain hands-on, professional field experience, which can be difficult to obtain.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO SAVE ANIMALS?
The health of an ecosystem is maintained by its plants and animals. When species become endangered, it is a sign of an ecosystem’s imbalance. This balance is difficult to maintain: the loss of one species often triggers the loss of others. The conservation of endangered species is important for humans as well. A well-balanced ecosystem purifies the environment, giving us clean air to breathe, a healthy water system to support diverse marine life, and arable land for agricultural production. It also provides us with unique plants with medicinal properties, which serve as the foundation of our medicines. When ecosystems fail, our own health is at risk. When saving endangered species, we are ultimately saving ourselves.
