Introduction
Biorefinery is a sustainable means of generating multiple bioenergy products from various biomass feedstocks through the incorporation of relevant conversion technologies. This course will provide the elementals for understanding and developing biorefineries from waste streams.

Short Bio: Chemical Engineer graduated at University of Las Villas (Cuba). At the moment he has a tenure track at the Wood Eng. Department in the University of Bio-Bio (Chile). Professor Arteaga is coordinator of the Laboratory of Thermal and Catalytic Processes in UBIOBIO and a Principal Investigator at the Unit for Technological Development in University of Concepción (www.udt.cl).
