When you are describing a picture, first of all, you should look at the picture as a whole. Afterwards, pay attention to details. When making a description, you should answer the following questions:Who?Doing what?Where? For example: In this picture, I can see a lot of people having fun in a beautiful sunny day. Paticularly, a boy in the bottom left corner is painting the scene. Next to him, an old man is standing with a cane. In the middle of the picture, three people and a dog are having a picnic.

When you are describing a picture, you can start with the following expressions: In this picture, I can see... This picture shows...There is/ there are... In order to specify the position of the person or people doing something in the picture, you can use the following expressions:
