Tips: Things you should do before using Zoom in your classes

Register

Create a Zoom account. This can be for free or paid, depending on funcionality you want or if your institution has licenses

Download and install

Download and install the Zoom program to have full functionality. Do not use Zoom directly from your browser

Log in

Whenever you use Zoom, click "login" to ensure you have all the features available

Setting

In the Zoom program explore the configuration menu. Enable and disable the options you want. Here you can test your audio and video system

"Screen sharing"

In "Settings", enter "Share" and "Multiple participants can share simultaneously”

Headphones and microphone

Always use headphones and speaker to avoid interferences

Become familiar

Create and start a meeting to test the functionalities and become familiar with the system

Notes in the screen

Use the option "Share the whiteboard" to draw, write, emphasize, etc.

Update the software
