CPU: CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT

The CPU is the brain of the computer. This is also the most important part of the computer. All other computer hardware is connected to this unit. Inside the CPU are important components of the computer as illustrated below

MONITOR :

The monitor is the screen you look at when you are working on your computer. It shows what is happening in the CPU.

KEYBOARD :

The keyboard is a device used for typing on the computer. It has many keys including the letters of the alphabet, the number keys, special symbols and commands.

MOUSE :

A computer mouse can be moved about on the table surface. It allows you to control the cursor that appears on the monitor. It makes pointing or selecting items on the monitor easier.
