Podašpilje je predivno selo koje se nalazi u Splitsko-dalmatinskoj županiji, u zaleđu dalmatinske obale, u podnožju planine Omiške Dinare. Kada iz kuća u Podašpilju gledamo planinu primijetit ćemo da je jedan njezin dio drugačiji od ostalih. Taj poseban dio ima i svoju legendu. Ona kaže da je točno na tome mjestu zaspao div koji je toliko dugo spavao da se okamenio i postao dijelom planine. Možda se jednog dana i probudi, no nitko ne zna kada i kako! Kada gledamo planinu, uistinu nam se čini, kao da na jednom njenom dijelu leži uspavani div. Žaklina Mimica 1.b

I live in a small village near Omiš. There aren't a lot of people, but they surely get along very well. This has been going on for years, so logically people started making up stories for entertainment. One of my favourite stories is the one about a woman who thought she was God himself. Strange thoughts came to her mind and the idea occured. She wanted to pick up a big heavy stone to prove her conslusions. She got there with all her courage and tryed to do it. It looked promissing at first, but she couldn't keep up and the stone crushed her. That day a big storm occured. It was so bad that the villigers couldn't get out of the house. Old people blamed her for even putting God's name in her mouth in that sort of way. They say that she angered him and that's way she had to suffer. Since then no one touched that stone. I think this is not true, but it sure is interesting to hear. Also we have to keep up the tradition for new generations. Marija Vukelja,3d

Although the basic ways of setting up female hair were similar,local varieties were numerous and differentiated in details.The foundation of every hairstyle was one or two triple braids.Little girls had one braid made with a ribbon finishing with a bow.After wedding women used to have two braids falling over the chest while older ones used to flip them up and over the top of the head secured by pins.
