LOCATION Australia is located in the southern hemisphere of the continent of Oceania and is located between the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean. CAPITAL There are many people who think that the capital of Australia is Sydney but in reality it is Canberra. OFFICIAL LENGUAGE English is the official language in Australia, but Mandarin and Arabic are also spoken.

CURRENCY The Australian dollar is the official currency of Australia Australian bills are characterized by very colorful and attractive. CLIMATE In Australia, summer goes from December to March, with average temperatures of 29ºC. And winter runs from June to August, with average temperatures around 13 degrees.

RELIEF Its mountain ranges are located near the coast, surrounding the country. Only a few mountains of low altitude are in the center. The most important mountain ranges are: * Australian Alps * Montes Blue * New England mountain range The rest of Australia is dominated by large plains and deserts such as: * Great Australian Basin * Simpsom desert * Barkly Plateau The main rivers that pass through Australia are: * Murray River * Murrumbidgee River * Darling River
