Newt Scamander was born on February 24 in 1897 in England. He was a famous Magizoologist ( a specialist in magical creatures and author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. In this book, he describes magical creatures which he observed all around the world.

The Acromantula is a monstrous eight-eyed spider coming from Borneo. It lives in dense jungle and it is capable of human speech. It is covered with thick black hair and its pincers produce a clicking sound when it is excited or angry. The Acromantula is carnivorous and it likes eating large preys...

Bowtruckle

The Bowtruckle is a tree-guardian creature that lives in the west of England, southern Germany and certain Scandinavian forests. It is very small, it has two brown eyes and it is made of bark and twigs. The Bowtruckle, which eats insects, is a very peacable and very shy creature. It has also very long sharp fingers.

Demiguise

The Demiguise is a peaceful, herbivorous creature that comes from the Far East. It looks like an ape with large black eyes and long silky hair. It also has long, thick eyebrows and long, thick whiskers. The demiguise is very difficult to spot and to catch because it can become invisible. It can also tell the future.

Erumpent

This large, grey African beast looks like a rhinoceros. It weighs up to a ton and it can attack you if you provoke it. It has a large and pointy horn on its nose, a long tail, a big hump on his back and a thick grey skin. Its four hooves, although small, can do serious damage. Its horn contains a deadly fluid that can cause a massive explosion. That's why the Erumpent is an extremely dangerous beast.

Niffler

The Niffler is an adorable creature with a long snout and a black fluffy fur. It looks like a platypus and it lives in burrows. The Niffler loves shiny objects, such as jewels or coins, and it has a pouch on its belly that can contain many things. That's why they are very good at locating treasure. However, Nifflers can be destructive and shouldn't be kept domestically.

Nundu

This East African beast is the most dangerous in the world. This gigantic leopard moves silently and it can destroy entire villages with its highly toxic breath that spreads diseases. Like leopards, the Nundu has black spots on its fur, sharp fangs and it can run very fast thanks to its powerful legs. It has also sharp claws at the tip of its paws that are useful for grabbing and killing its preys. When it is angry, the Nundu spreads out a huge mane composed of spikes.

Thunderbird

The Thunderbird lives in North America, most commonly in the Arizona desert. This giant bird has a long beak and six golden wings. Its wings are so powerful that the Tunderbird can create a storm when it flies and lift an elephant with its enormous talons. It can also sense danger. Its feathers are used to make wands. This creature is extremely dangerous but very interesting.

Murtlap

The Murtlap is a marine beast that lives on the coast of Britain and looks like a rat. It has a sea anemone on its back, red eyes and small rodent teeth. Wizards use its tentacles to make healing potions and they are also edible. But careful! Don't eat too much of them or your ear hair will turn purple.The Murtlap likes eating crustaceans but also ... human feet.
