15th to 21st September 2019

PARTICIPANT SCHOOLS

  1. Host school: Tabor College Werenfridus, Hoorn, Netherlands.
  2. Základná škola Kudlovská, Humenné, Slovakia
  3. Kepez Mahmut Celalettin Antalya, Turkey

  5. Nuestra Señora del Socorro, Benetússer, Spain

Travelling students: Cristina, Lucía Marta, Nacho, Valeria and Miguel Ángel.

1st day

Arrival to Delft at night. Quick visit to the surrondings of the hotel and dinner in the Market Square.

2nd day

Visit the city of Delft: the canals, the old and the new churches, the Stedelijk Museum, the Town Hall and also a typical windmill.

Arrival at Hoorn. Families and teachers were waiting for us at the train station.

3rd day

Welcome at Taboor College, presentations of the partner schools, introduction games, workshops for students and teachers and funny guided tour through Hoorn.

4th day

Boat tour through the canals in Amsterdam helping to clean them from plastics. Then visit to the Rijksmuseum and the city center.

5th day

Visit Agriport greenhouses and their geothermal plant.

After that, interesting workshops at the Wadden Sea, the largest unbroken system of intertidal sand and mud flats in the world.

6th day

Meet and grill with Deputy Major of Hoorn, sport activities, workshops, flipped classroom... At the end of the morning, we planted a tree in the school garden that will always remember our project and the LTTA in Hoorn.

7th day

Last day in Hoorn. Film and conference about "Zero waste", sailing trip on Markermere area, discussion about global warming, evaluation surveys, Dutch culture day and farewell ceremony.

We want to thank Dutch teachers, students and families for being so kind and welcoming. We also want to congratulate Maria, Irene and the rest of the teachers for the excellent organization of the activities of this LTTA.
