My role in the data & benchmarking division was assisting in the gathering of evidence to fine buiildings who are non-compliant.

My experience working with the Data and Benchmarking Division has been fruitful and engaging. I have had the opportunity to be apart of a District wide initive to help improve the environment. Initially I had an expecrtation of gaining real work experience, and my expectation has been surpassed. Throughout my time with the Data & Benchmarking Division, I was given tasks that served a purpose to reach a goal; and from the work that I completed, I am able to see what my progress is contributing to. I truly appreciate the opportunity afforded to me, and more importantly the knowlege and skills I gained in the process

Enrolling buildings into Automatic Reporting

With the help of platforms such as Portfolio Manager and SEED, the energy usage of the building in D.C. can be monitored adequately. Due to this iniative, D.C. is able to be on the path of being carbon neutral in 2050.

  • Downloading old Portfolio Manager data (pre 2011), and uploading that data into the new DGC Portfoilio Manager account
