Here are some helpful steps to remember when it comes to adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing decimals! Click on each interactive element to discover more.

1. Do NOT line up decimals2. Ignore the decimals and multiply as usual 3. Count the places after the decimal in each factor, and then move that many spaces in final product to place new decimal

1. Move decimals from divisor and dividend2. Drag decimal on top after you've moved decimal 3. Divide like normal

1. When subtracting decimals, you MUST line up your decimals. 2. Put the larger number on top and fill in any empty spots with zeros
