At the end of the day we met our Turkish and Italian friends and started a long jouney from Budapest to Humenné.
3rd day
Welcoming ceremony. In the morning we met our Dutch and Slovak friends. Then we visited the school facilities and finally we went to a reception by the Mayor in Humenné Town Hall.
We also visited the Humenné Castle and the Open Air Museum.
In the afternoon each group gave a presentation of their city and their school.
4th day
Lessons in the school library focused on "water: pollution, cicle, resources, etc". Educational approaches: kinaesthetical approach and story telling.
After the lesson in the library, we continued the activity in the art classroom.
In the afternoon we visited the Starina reservoir, the most important source of drinking water in the eastern Slovakia.
And as a culmination of the day: ceramic workshop.
5th day
We first attended a sample lesson designed by using the phenomenom based learning method. Then we attended a demonstration of the use of dogs in the classroom as a "strategy for kinesthetic learning" of students with special needs and the youngest children.
And we had time to make some sport activities too.
In the afternoon we went to a ranch where we continued doing sports and environmental activities.
We rode a horse, did archery, jumped on a trampoline, made a barbecue ... It was a really fun afternoon

At the end of the festival, the Headmistress gave us the diplomas and the certificates of attendance.
What we highlighted most of the week, besides, of course, the wonderful hospitality of the Slovak families, was the perfect organization of all activities from the first day to the last. Undoubtedly, Paulina and Adriana have the merit, who, helped by a group of "super collaborator" students, made us spend a very entertaining and very fruitful week.
We take note for when we are the hosts.
¡Gracias!
