CREATING AVATAR

Creating avatars is fun. You can create a character as you like.

IMAGE ATTRIBUTION

Using images in our class is very useful and will help our students to understand better about the topic that they are learning. Image attribution are images without copyright, in Pixabay you can take free photos.

CONTENT CURATION

I create a board on Pinterest about Wild Animals. I select different images of wild animals with this tool. There are free images and you can create a board with different images to teach to your students. It is a very usuful tool and also you can insert videos.

TINY STORY

Twitter is a social networking service on which users post and interact which messages known as "tweets", you can post; like; and, retweet tweets. It is a good way to share your thoughts with other people.

EDUCATIONAL SLIDESHOWS

Teaching a subject through visual support is attractive and will contribute to making learning a more encouraging and motivating experience. We have different tools such as Google Slides, Genial.ly, Prezi, Powtoon, Biteslide.

SHARING STORIES

Comics are an effective way to introduce your learners to digital storytelling. Comic tools allow learners to fill in their frames by clicking on a choice of characters, props, scenes, and more presented to them. We can use different online toools such as: Pixton; Creaza; StoryboardThat.

MINDMAPS

A mindmap is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks and drawings linked around a central idea. Mindmaps are a very effective method to extract and memorize information. You can use different tools to create Mindmaps such as Coggle, Mindmeister, Mind42, SpiderScribe, Bubbl.es, Creately.

INFOGRAPHICS

Infographics are a very visual way of representing and transmitting knowledge via the web. A good infographic must contain: Title, Body, Explanatory text, Source, Authorship and license. Online tools that we can use are: Easel.ly; Piktochart, Canva, Smore, Tackk, Mural.ly, Padlet.

PODCAST

A podcast is audio where you can record explaining a topic. In the classrooms, we can use audios to work a wide variety of skills. Some tools that we can use to make a podcast are SoundCloud, Speaker, Ivoox, and Podomatic. First, you have to plan what are you going to say in the recorder, second you have to record your audio, then you have to edit it and finally publish it in your blog.

STORYBOARD

Storyboards are the blueprints of a digital story. A storyboard consists of drawings and notes in frames. Each frame represents a scene in the video story. We used a template to create the storyboarding. We used the emojis from Bitmoji, images from Pixabay, and Word to make the final images for each scene. We create a storyboard about the "Seven Wonders of the World".

VIDEO RECORDER

Eva María, Marta and I we recorded a video called "The Seven Wonders of the World" we recorded it with the mobile phone. At the back we put the chroma and we edited with VSDC Video Editor we added different images at the background depending on the monument we were talking about. It was great recording the video I had a very good time with them doing it.

FLIPGRIB

Flipgrib is a social learning platform that allows educators to ask a question, then the students respond in a video. Students are then able to respond to one another, creating a “web” of discussion. In this video I talk about "My first experience working in a school". I think this tool is very useful and it is a different way to meet your students better. Teachers let the students express themselves freely on a topic that is proposed to them, and each of the students can contribute something and thus be able to learn from each other.
