PINTURA VANGUARDISTA: EXPRESIONISMO

OSKAR KOKOSCHKA 1886-1980

Fue un pintor expresionista y escritor austriaco que pasó su infancia, juventud y formación profesional en Viena. Durante la Gran Guerra fue herido gravemente en el frente del Este y se consagró plenamente a la pintura. Se casó con Olda Palkovska en 1941. Seis años después, adquirió la nacionalidad británica. Su obra fue influenciada por el Jugendstil y por el pintor Klimt. También es conocido por participar como ilustrador en la revista "Der Sturm". Algunas de sus obras pictóricas más importantes son:
