Compounds

Compounds are the products of a chemical reaction where 2 or more different elements bond together.For example, Carbon and Oxygen bonding to create Carbon Dioxide.

Mixtures

Mixtures are the result of two substances mixing together WITHOUT bonding together. Each part of the mixture retains its own original properties. An example is a salad, where all of the components are mixed together but can be separated.

All elements in a compound are represented by chemical formulas. Look at the example below:
