Instagram is a photo and video sharing social media platform which is used by many users. It was initially launched to share photography, but now it is used by many users to share their selfies or family pictures. But it is still popular for sharing photography. It can be used as an inspiration for photography as there are endless amounts of images available to scroll through. It allows the user to like and comment on the pictures they like which gives feedback to the photographer.This is a platform that i use on a daily basis to share my photography.

Flicker is one of the best platforms to just scroll through professional and creative images. It doesnt contain many random group selfies or poorly taken pictures and is guaranteed to offer high quality and interesting pictures. It also offers an explore option which displays endless amounts of images where you can scroll through and give feedback. This will be a good place to upload pictures when you are confident and think that there is a real creative elemet in your pictures. It also allows you to search for keywords which will bring lots of results based on the keywords.

500px is another photosharing platform which is very similar to flicker, but has a more convenient and clean gallery layout. It offers the same features as flicker and allows users to upload directly from different social media platforms and harddrives. Although it has a limit of 20 pictures per week on a free plan which is a descent amount of pictures to upload. It also allows the users to liscence their images so that photographers can make a little extra from their images.
