The animal that I have chosen is the bearded vulture (Gypaetus barbatus)
Location
We find this animal in Europe, Asia and Africa.
Habitat
The habitat of this animal are mountains and forests.
in the world there are between 10,000 and 100,000 bearded vultures
Description
The bearded vulture has got a small head and a powerful and thick neck. It is dark grey and rusty. It has got a black band that crosses the eyes. Under the chin has a black beard that gives to the species its English name.
Food habits
The bearded vultures feed only of bones.
Reproduction
Finally they can live more or less 21 years.
After hatching, the young spend 100 to 130 days in the nest before they have feathers.
The female usually lays a clutch of 1 or 2 eggs, and she incubates them for 53 to 60 days.
Important facts
This animal can go almost 130 km per hour. The bearded vulture can fly at a height of 7300m
Causes of being endangered
The reasons for being endangered are because the hunters kill them, because of human factors and because the humans clear the land for development, because humans destroy the habitats of animals and by global warming.
My campaign
-I would make people aware with T-shirts and visors. -Also, I would contact the environmental associations of Euskadi and together we would make the public institutions commit to this cause. -Finally, I would make all this work visible through social networks.
I hope you have liked it and that you have learned a lot about this animal.
¡thank you very much!
