As part of the Bilingual Programme activities, we went to see this amazing musical film in its original version starring Hugh Jackman - Wolverine, Zack Efron - High School Musical, Zendaya - Shake it up. The song "This Is Me" won a Golden Globe. A man called PT Barnum wanted to live his life based on his dreams. In search of a better future for him and his family, he bought a place to turn it into a museum. When no one came, it occurred to him to gather several people with different talents and unique characteristics to create a circus. PT did fantastic shows as well as a lot of money. When he saw the opportunity to go on tour with a famous opera singer with whom he could earn a lot of money, he left everything behind, including his own principles. In the end, the place is burned and made ashes, but his partners didn’t let him down and together they build up a new circus from scratch. All in all, this film is a masterpiece. It conveys the desire of becoming the person you want to be, although along the film you can feel that PT does the things for money to fulfill the promise he made to his family. We highly recommend that you see this awesome film.
