DIGIPAK ASSESSMENT

The lyrics page is a convention in which i used. The copyright information is presented on the back cover and the edge of the CD which existing digipaks have. I also have a barcode positioned on the bottom right corner.

My digipak uses the conventions of existing digipaks.My album has 6 panels which includes; a front cover, a back cover, left cover, cover inside, left cover and a CD.

CONVENTIONS

I think in order to improve my digipak i need to include another location and a change of outfitsMore could be added on the lyrics page as there is a space on the bottom right corner which could be utalised.

Overall i am pleased with the overall house style of the album. I think the all the panels look nice together and they look part of a package.I have followed the conventions by placing a barcode, lyrics page, record label and copyright information.I have also included a panel where there is a change of location an outfits. However i think there could be more of a variety of location and outfits. The editing of the front cover has been done pursposely to match with the music video. Her name has been written in the same style on the panels and this differes to the font used for the name of the album.

WEBSITE ASSESSMENT

The user can purchase and select colours of the merchandise. The product is then added to the cart where the user can check out.

The gallery page includes a variety of camera shots and oufits. Also, the artist includes a caption to interact with the audience.

This page allows the audience to preview the songs on the album and purchase it on itunes.

On the video page, the audiece can view the music video of the artist.

The website has an overall house style which compliments the colours used on the digipak. The backgound is animated which makes the website more dynamic. It uses the conventions of exitsing websites such as the social media bar on the right of the page. This is where the audience can interact with the artist.

CONVENTIONS

I like the overall style of the website, i think it goes nicely with the music video and digipak and it is clear that they are linked together as part of a package. I think i have used ICT effectively in the publishing of the images, sounds and video such as the ability to listen to the album's preview.I think in order to improve, the font of the website could be differentiated more. The language used on the gallery page relates the target audience which are teenagers. It uses terms such as "throwback" which is a popular phrase in this time which means looking back.
