Se usa at para la hora y eventos/partes del día: At 1:17 a.m. // A la 1:17 a.m. At dinner's // En la cena At noon // Al mediodía

La preposición “at” se puede utilizar en las siguientes oraciones: I only read at night // Yo solo lee por la noche I see Dragon Ball Super at the weekend // Veo Dragon Ball Super el fin de semana I only work on Saturdays at 2 o'clock // Solo trabajo los sábados a las 2:00 p.m.

Como hemos vistos la preposición “in” se usa para tiempos indefinidos como, por ejemplo: I used to go to school in the afternoons // Solía ir a la escuela en las tardes Did you work in the mornings? // ¿Trabajabas en las mañanas?

Unidad 121: Preposiciones de “TIEMPO” at – on – in

Pero, cuando se menciona un día en específico, cambia la preposición a “on”, por ejemplo: I used to go to school on Saturday afternoons // Solía ir a la escuela los sábados por las tardes Did you work on Monday mornings? // ¿Trabajabas los lunes por la mañana?

No se usan las preposiciones at/on/in antes de last/next/this/ every. Ejemplos: I'll see you on the last day of the week // Te veo el último día de la semana I'll see you at the weekend // Te veo el fin de semana This September 16 I'm going to work // Este 16 de septiembre voy a trabajar I work on September 16 // Trabajo el 16 de septiembre

También se usa la preposición “in” para tiempos indefinidos; como minutos, periodos de meses, etc, Ejemplos: I give you the job in 5 minutes // Te entrego el trabajo en 5 minutos I will buy a car in 4 months // Me comprare un auto en 4 meses

Para las preposiciones “in”, se utilizan para lugares cerrados y también abiertos, pero con limites definidos: In the room // En el cuarto In the office // En la oficina In the park // En el parque

Para las preposiciones “at”, se utilizan para lugares determinados (al lado, junto) y ciertos lugares comunes: At the window // En la ventana At home // En casa At the museum // En el museo

Para las preposiciones “on”, se utilizan para indicar que está en una superficie, posiciones, partes de un lugar (cuarto) y transportes: On the wall // En la pared On the floor // En el suelo On the train // En el tren On the chair // En la silla Ejemplo: The picture is on the wall // El cuadro esta en la pared The bottle on the chair // La botella sobre la silla See you on the train // Nos veremos en el tren

Comparación de la preposición “in” - “on” My phone is in the office // Mi télefono esta la oficina. My phone is on the table, in the office // Mi télefono esta sobre la mesa, de la oficina.

Comparación de la preposición “at” - “on” I am at home // Yo estoy en casa I am on the floor of my house // Yo estoy en el suelo de mi casa

Nosotros decimos que alguien / algo es: Preposición “in” My dad works in an office // Mi papá trabaja en una oficina I'm stuck in my bed // Estoy acosatado en mi cama My friends and I are trained in the museum // Mis amigos y yo estamos formados en el museo

Preposición “on” The restaurant is on the first floor // El restauran está en el primer piso I'm waiting on the tree // Estoy esperante en el arbol The stadium is on the left side of the street // El estadio está del lado izquierdo de la calle.

Preposición “at” The pencil is at the bottom of the backpack // El lápiz esta al fondo de la mochila I'm at the end of the room // Estoy al final del cuarto You have to sign at the top of the sheet // Tienes que firmar al principio de la hoja

Unidad 126: Preposiciones to – at – in – into

Si lo que deseamos es expresar que nos dirigimos hacia un lugar determinado, en ese caso utilizamos la preposición “to”, por ejemplo: He goes to the museum // Él va al museo I went to the cinema // Yo fui al cine We go to the beach // Nosotros vamos a la playa They went to Madrid // Ellos fueron a Madrid

Comenzaremos con el uso de la preposición “at” que la utilizaremos para expresar que ya hemos arribado a un lugar. You arrive at the Zoo // Tú llegas al zoológico She arrives at the museum // Ella llega al museo

En cambio si el lugar al que se ha llegado se trata de países y ciudades emplearemos la preposición “in”. They arrived in Paris // Ellos arribaron a París He arrived in Mexico // Él arribó a México

Para indicar el ingreso a un lugar usaremos la preposición “into”, por ejemplo: She went into her house // Ella entró en su casa They went into the bus // Ellos entraron en el autobus I come into my house // Yo entré en mi casa

Preposición “at” At 3 years my eye hurt // A los 3 años me lastime el ojo At 10 meters comes that balloon // A los 10 metros llega ese globo At 0 degrees, the water freezes // A los 0 grados se congela el agua
