First conditional
USE: It is used to talk about things that could happen in the future, to describe things that will surely happen.
If/unless + present simple + will future
-Examples: 1.- If it rains, I won't go to the park. 2.- She will miss the bus if she doesn't leave soon. 3.- If I do it, I will succeed. 4.- I will be annoyed if they don't arrive on time.
Second conditional
USE: It's used to talk about things in the future that are probably not going to be true.
If/unless + past simple, would + invinitive
-Examples:1.- If I had money I would buy a lamborghini. 2.- She would travel all over the world if she were rich. 3.- If I won the lottery, I would travel around the world. 4.- I would tell you the answer if I knew what it was.
Third conditional
USE: It's used to describe a situation that didn't happen, and to imagine the result of this situation.
Had + 3ºcolumn + would have + 3ºcolumn
-Examples:1.- If we had taken a taxi, we wouldn't have missed the plane. 2.- We would have gone out last night if we hadn’t been so tired. 3.- If I had been you, I would have studied. 4.- She wouldn't have gone to the party if she had needed to work.
