LINE ENCODING

NAME: SHARUL IDHAM BIN SAKRI

DEFINITION..

LINE ENCODING IS THE PROCESS OF CONVERTING BINARY DATA, A SEQUENCE OF BITS, TO DIGITAL SIGNAL.

TYPE OF LINE ENCODING

UNIPOLAR

BIPOLAR

POLAR

UNIPOLAR

:Unipolar encoding uses only one voltage level. : Unipolar encoding is so named because it uses only one polarity. : Polarity is assigned to one of the two binary states, usually the 1. : The other state, usually the 0, is represented by zero voltage. :Has dc component. Lack of synchronization is an issue in unipolar encoding.

POLAR

BIPOLAR

In bipolar encoding, we use three levels: positive, zero, and negative
