We use must to say that it is necessary to do something Strong obligation: some personal circumstance makes the obligation necessary (and the speaker agrees with the obligation) ​

MUST

USES - For more personal opinions about what is necessary to do - Formal writing

OBLIGATION

It is used for what somebody in authority has said it is necessary to do

HAVE TO

Structure - changes in the third person singular I/You/We/You/ They 'have to' She/ He / It 'has to'

LACK OF OBLIGATION

DON'T HAVE TO

Permissive. There is no obligation

It is almost the same as don't have to. it can be used in either of the two examples above

To show that something is possible in the future

To show that something was possible at some time in the past
